Debbi Murphy's Archived Classes
If you can breathe, you can do yoga. It’s not about the pose, it’s about connecting breath with movement to bring more awareness to mind, body and spirit. When we practice, we do not compete or perform, but rather experience the present moment with more feeling so that we can move through our day with more clarity and compassion. The asanas are just tools to help us learn that. A key mantra to repeat while practicing is “I am not competing, I am not performing, I am not fulfilling a wish list of poses. I am listening to my body with compassion.” As Ted Lasso says “Be curious, not judgmental.” If you’d like to learn more about beginning a yoga practice, go to https://shantiyogastudio.org/new-to-yoga-read-this-to-learn-more/
